DAN OWEN, a new member to NYP Tri and somebody new to Triathlon is looking for a bike. He is 6' 4 tall and does not want to break the bank. If anybody knows of any second hand bikes that may fit Dan this could be the opportunity for a sale. Please E Mail markrees3@btinternet.com if you think you have something that could help Dan out. PLANTAR FASCIITIS or HEEL BURSA ?Hi Mark, As we discussed on the phone before your Docs appointment, it does sound more like a heel bursa problem rather than plantar fasciitis. Be sure to look after it while the cortisone is doing its stuff. The body's inflammatory response in these sort of injuries can be over reactive, the cortisone you have been given is designed to mitigate this and accelerate the repair process, it is important not to be lulled into a false sense of security by the results of the injection. Rest the heel as much as possible, and consider inserting some Sorbothane heel pads into any shoes you are wearing until you are better and even beyond. Sounds like a great excuse for a lovely warm desk job during the winter! Good luck, Paul''

Running Numbers and Race Entries

Members often have to enter races months in advance as the popular ones fill very quickly. They then may find that they cannot run due to a family event or injury. It is hoped to use this page for members to list any race numbers that they have and cannot use, with a mention of if they wish to donate them or would like a donation, as some races are very expensive to enter. Bear in mind that some race organisers are happy for this to happen and will change the entrants details. Others state that numbers cannot be passed on, so be aware and if you are a young man do not run a sub 40 min 10km with a V40 ladies number as you will look a bit odd collecting the prize.
